Carla Washington

As partnership associate for Ed Advancement Carla Washington oversees projects, relationships, and other program elements to advance the organization’s support of partner HBCUs. Carla has over 15 years of experience in higher education and strategic management. Prior to joining Ed Advancement, Carla served as Director of Admissions and Counseling at Fayetteville Technical Community College at Fayetteville, NC where she led and participated in the development, planning, implementation, and administration of goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures related to student recruitment and admissions. She also served as Registrar and Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Louisburg College where she managed all aspects of academic advising, registration, campus assessments. Carla has also held positions at North Carolina Central University and Saint Augustine’s University. Carla earned her B.A. in Public Administration from Shaw University and M.A. in Education from Concordia University.
