Alan guides Ed Advancement’s external communications strategy.
Formerly, Alan served as Director of Outreach and Partnerships at the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, where he oversaw development of outreach partnerships and selection of recipients for the Foundation’s scholarship programs serving high-achieving, lower income students. He also previously served as an educational adviser at the Foundation, and he taught middle school language arts in Texas.
Alan holds a B.A. in English Language and Literature and an M.Ed. in Curriculum Studies from Texas Christian University. He serves on the Advisory Board for the National Partnership for Educational Access, and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. During his spare time, Alan enjoys music, writing, reading, and meditation practice.
