Cecilia shepherds Ed Advancement’s engagement with strategic partners and supporters. Cecilia has held senior roles at national non-profit and philanthropic organizations as a strategic leader in business growth, technology, communications, fundraising and development. As Managing Director of Scholarships and Programs at APIA Scholars she oversaw the Gates Millennium Scholars/APIA program. At the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, Cecilia was the Director of Strategic Initiatives where she was responsible for executing a diverse portfolio of college access and success projects in service to the foundation’s scholars and high achieving, low-income students across the nation. Prior to joining Ed Advancement, she was the Vice President of Program Development and Strategy at the Jackie Robinson Foundation, responsible for strategic planning of the Foundation’s college scholarship program and for the launch of JRF’s scaling initiative, JRF Impact.

She was Director of Recruitment at the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) where she led enrollment efforts across 49 states and over 100 countries. While at SCAD she traveled to Hong Kong to support the restoration and opening of the SCAD Hong Kong campus.  Cecilia got her start in corporate advertising in New York City serving as a producer at BBDO and UniWorld Group. Cecilia Marshall serves on the Board of Directors of the Legal Defense Fund (LDF), America’s premier legal organization fighting for racial justice.
